Special Education Teacher (K-12 Cross-Categorical)
Location: Oshkosh, WI 54901
Schedule: Full-Time
Assignment Dates: October 1, 2026 - June 3, 2027
We are seeking an enthusiastic and student-centered Special Education Teacher to provide services in a K-12 Cross-Categorical setting in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs while working alongside a dedicated team of educators and support staff. The ideal candidate is passionate about individualized instruction, collaboration, and fostering meaningful educational growth.
Primary Responsibilities
Deliver specialized instruction designed to meet students' unique academic, behavioral, and functional needs.
Implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student progress.
Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications are provided.
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Support positive behavioral interventions and classroom management practices.
Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes student success and independence.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field.
Active Wisconsin Special Education Teaching License or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
Ability to support students across a variety of grade levels and educational needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a school-based special education setting.
Experience working in a Cross-Categorical program.
Familiarity with inclusive classroom models and differentiated instruction.
Background supporting students with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional-behavioral needs, or other exceptionalities.
Master's Degree in Special Education or a related area.
