Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in grades 4 or 5
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with teachers, families, and support staff
- Creative problem-solving and the ability to adapt lesson plans for various learning needs
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom community
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students in 4th and 5th grades with special needs, focusing on their unique educational plans
- Develop, update, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and differentiation in the classroom
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure consistent support and progress monitoring
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral data
