Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school environment preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Ability to create adaptable lesson plans and modify curriculum as needed
- Organizational skills to manage documentation and maintain compliance with educational standards
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop, implement, and assess Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with varying abilities
- Modify general education curriculum to meet each students needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other specialists to support student integration
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, timely records
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
