Key Qualifications:
- Valid LBS1 licensure required
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, with preference for elementary or primary-grade settings
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills tailored for self-contained classrooms
- Ability to develop and modify individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Passion for fostering academic, social, and emotional growth in young learners
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver instructional support to a group of K-1 students in a self-contained classroom
- Create, adapt, and implement specialized lessons to meet the diverse needs of your caseload
- Maintain regular communication with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Support a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and learning
- Operate within one assigned school, focusing your energy where its needed most
