What You Bring:
- Valid and active LBS1 licensure
- Experience teaching and supporting students in special education, particularly at the kindergarten and first-grade levels
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized instructional strategies
- Genuine passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Reliable, motivated, and collaborative work style
What Youll Do:
- Lead a self-contained special education classroom for K-1 students
- Create and follow individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique needs
- Design and deliver engaging, instructionally appropriate lessons
- Foster social, behavioral, and academic development in a nurturing environment
- Work closely with classroom aides, related service providers, and families
- Communicate student progress and collaborate with colleagues and administration
- Maintain a safe, encouraging, and structured classroom space
