Preferred Qualifications:
- Hold valid Illinois Special Education Teacher licensure
- Fluent in both English and Spanish; bicultural understanding is a plus
- Demonstrated experience with junior high or high school students
- Strong track record in special education with a focus on individualized support
- Student-centered teaching philosophy; prioritize holistic development over strictly curriculum-focused goals
- Reliable work history with commitment to sustained roles
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans for a diverse classroom of 20 or fewer students
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and culturally responsive classroom
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, specialists, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed
- Encourage social, emotional, and academic growth while addressing unique educational needs
This position offers the opportunity to work onsite, with consistent hours totaling 33.75 per week, from August 17, 2026, to June 2, 2027.
