With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, youll deliver differentiated instruction, create engaging learning environments, and foster the academic and personal growth of students with diverse learning needs.
Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Valid LBS1 Teacher Certification
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
- 1-5 years of teaching experience, ideally within a special education environment
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for working with students with learning differences across K-8
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to support students unique goals
- Collaborating closely with general education teachers, staff, and parents to ensure student success
- Tracking and reporting progress toward IEP objectives, maintaining accurate documentation
- Creating positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom climates
- Modifying curriculum as needed and utilizing assistive technologies or resources
- Participating in professional development, team meetings, and school events
