Step into an impactful role as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students in a self-contained ESE classroom environment. Based near Orange Park, FL, this contract opportunity is designed for professionals driven to make a difference in elementary education, with flexibility to consider other age group preferences. The position is full-time, on-site only, for 35 hours weekly across a single school location in the vibrant North West region.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Florida ESE certification required, plus K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification.
• Demonstrated experience leading self-contained special education classrooms.
• Strong ability to manage and instruct students with a range of learning levels and exceptionalities.
• Familiarity with elementary settings preferred, though adaptable to other age groups.
• Willingness to complete required fingerprinting and credentialing processes, including the AHCA Clearinghouse and JLA badge application.
• Successful completion of a virtual prescreen interview (calendar link to schedule will be provided for viable applicants).

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a self-contained ESE teacher, planning and delivering differentiated instruction tailored to diverse learner needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that fosters student growth.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage with families, support staff, and administration to communicate progress and adapt strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student development, achievement, and compliance with district and legal requirements.
