Job Description

Step into a highly impactful contract position supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher within a dedicated self-contained ESE classroom setting. In this role, youll be based at one school location in the North West region, fostering growth and achievement for students with a range of learning needs. This opportunity begins August 10, 2026 and continues through May 28, 2027, with a structured Monday-Friday schedule totaling 35 hours per week.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Valid Florida ESE certification
  • Florida K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification is required
  • Experience leading a self-contained ESE classroom is essential
  • A passion for individualized learning and exceptionalities
  • Fingerprinting is required; if previously done in a Florida school district, verification will need to be completed via the AHCA Clearinghouse
  • Successful completion of an internal eligibility interview and a virtual prescreen assessment
  • Organized, resourceful, and skilled at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

What Youll Do:

  • Lead a self-contained classroom serving students with diverse learning exceptionalities and educational needs
  • Develop, implement, and modify instructional plans based on student assessment data and IEP goals
  • Provide targeted instruction, support, and behavioral interventions to nurture academic and social-emotional growth
  • Maintain accurate student records in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
