As a Special Education Teacher for Pre-K, youll shape each childs early school experience, ensuring instruction aligns with their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Your expertise will help students reach important milestones in a supportive environment throughout the entire school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver dynamic and individualized instruction to Pre-K students, accommodating diverse learning styles and backgrounds
- Collaborate with families and staff to address unique academic and behavioral needs
- Foster effective communication regarding student progress and goals
- Serve as a backup to the Director when needed, supporting leadership and operational duties
- Uphold all compliance standards, including documentation and IEP implementation
- Leverage technology for lesson planning and classroom management
- Encourage a welcoming, positive, and safe classroom atmosphere
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in education, early childhood, special education, or a related field
- Eligible for or possess a Professional Educators Certificate in Primary/Elementary Education, ESE
- Reading Endorsement and ESOL required, or willingness to pursue endorsements upon hire
- Completion of Department of Children & Family Child Care Training
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
- Confident using Microsoft Office and conducting research online
