Job Description

This full-time role as a Special Education Pre-K Teacher located in Miami, FL, offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners with exceptional needs. Working a 40-hour week through the full school year, the position focuses on delivering tailored academic and social skills instruction aligned with each students Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing developmentally appropriate, individualized instruction while considering each childs special needs, learning style, temperament, cultural background, and interests
  • Supporting the school by stepping in as backup for the Director when necessary
  • Collaborating with colleagues to promote student growth in an inclusive and nurturing environment

Qualifications sought:

  • Professional Educators Certificate or eligibility in Primary/Elementary Education with a focus on Exceptional Student Education (ESE)
  • Bachelors degree in education, early childhood, special education, or a related field
  • Required Reading and ESOL endorsements, or willingness to enroll in courses to obtain them
  • Completion of Department of Children & Family Child Care Training
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and internet research
