Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelors degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
• Experience adapting curriculum and instruction for students with disabilities
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster an inclusive environment
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students goals and needs
• Adapt lesson plans to accommodate a range of learning abilities and styles
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure student success
• Track and report on student progress, making adjustments as needed based on data
• Communicate proactively with parents/guardians regarding progress and strategies for support
• Promote positive social and emotional development within the classroom
