Take on a rewarding contract role for the 2026-2027 school year as a Special Education Teacher working with high school students in grades 9-12. This position, located just outside Omaha, NE, offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

In this full-time role, youll manage a caseload of students, write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and facilitate IEP meetings with families and colleagues. Familiarity with the states SRS paperwork system will be valuable, as it is an integral part of documentation and case management. While there may be some instruction of basic classes, the primary focus will be on resource and co-taught settings, collaborating with other educators to support student success.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for high school (grades 9-12) or eligibility to obtain
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher and understanding of high school special education needs
• Experience writing IEPs and leading IEP meetings
• Proficiency with special education documentation, ideally using SRS or similar systems
• Ability to effectively manage a caseload and communicate with families and staff
• Strong organizational and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to individual students
