Make a difference each day as a dedicated Special Education Teacher providing essential support in an itinerant role for the 2026-2027 school year. You will work onsite, serving a variety of private parochial schools and additional campuses nearby, ensuring students receive the individualized instruction and care they deserve. With full-time hours in a rewarding contract position, youll collaborate with educators and families alike, helping students access their education and reach important milestones.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Kansas teaching license with K-12 Special Education (SPED) endorsement required.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and a range of abilities.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Comfort with traveling between school sites and adapting to different environments.
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive educational experience for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct special education instruction aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Coordinate and consult with general educators and school staff to implement effective strategies within each school environment.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of achievement and adaptations.
- Serve as a liaison between campuses, families, and community partners to ensure students needs are met.
- Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and ongoing professional development.
