Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Kansas teaching license in Special Education, valid for assigned grade level(s)
  • Background in K-12 special education (elementary, middle, high, or Bridges alternative)
  • Experience developing, monitoring, and implementing individualized education plans
  • Strong communication skills for student, parent, and colleague collaboration
  • Understanding of diverse learning needs and behavioral interventions

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction based on IEP goals
  • Adapt and develop educational materials to support individualized learning
  • Monitor, document, and report student progress regularly
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
  • Participate in IEP and multi-disciplinary team meetings
  • Liaise with families, specialists, and administrators to ensure student success
