Job Description

An opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher specializing in Early Childhood education, dedicated to supporting young learners in a structured school environment. The position is based in Kansas City, KS, with a priority placement at an Early Childhood Center focused on Pre-K aged children.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
  • Managing a caseload typically ranging from 8 to 18 early childhood learners.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful educational outcomes.
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
  • Creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that fosters growth and development.

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Certification or licensure in Special Education.
  • Experience working with Early Childhood Special Education students (Pre-K age group).
  • Strong understanding of developmental milestones and special education best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively with parents, caregivers, and educational professionals.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Location: Kansas City, KS, with the main assignment at a dedicated Early Childhood Center.

Contract Duration: Immediate start through 5/22/2026.

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with years of experience.
