Job Description

  • Silver City: 1 Medically Fragile Teacher, 1 Life Skills/SAILS Teacher
  • Stony Point South: 1 SLC Teacher
  • Welborn Elementary: 1 SLC Teacher
  • Argentine: 1 SLC Teacher
  • Arrowhead: 1 Behavior Specialist Consultant (BSC) Teacher
  • Central: 1 SLC Teacher
  • Eisenhower: 1 SLC Teacher

Caseload sizes range from 8 to 18 students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Kansas teaching licensure in Special Education is required.
  • Experience working with diverse special education populations, including students with autism, life skills needs, or medical fragility.
  • Ability to successfully manage both resource and self-contained classroom settings.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Flexibility and dedication to meet individual student needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of each student.
  • Provide direct instruction, behavior management, and support services in classrooms.
  • Collaborate with families, administrators, and support staff to promote student success.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings.
