Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Colorado Special Education License, or eligibility to obtain one via reciprocity
  • Prior experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred
  • Solid understanding of the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with general educators, families, and related service providers to meet student needs
  • Strong organizational skills and a passion for student success in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct special education instruction to elementary students in a supportive setting
  • Create and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring alignment with student goals and regulatory requirements
  • Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate fully in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Partner with classroom teachers and families to facilitate student achievement and encourage social-emotional growth
  • Address the diverse academic and behavioral needs of students within the resource and inclusion model
