Key Qualifications:
- Current Colorado Special Education License, or eligibility to obtain one via reciprocity
- Prior experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred
- Solid understanding of the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with general educators, families, and related service providers to meet student needs
- Strong organizational skills and a passion for student success in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains
Daily Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct special education instruction to elementary students in a supportive setting
- Create and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring alignment with student goals and regulatory requirements
- Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate fully in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Partner with classroom teachers and families to facilitate student achievement and encourage social-emotional growth
- Address the diverse academic and behavioral needs of students within the resource and inclusion model
