Make a meaningful impact guiding students to their fullest potential as a Special Education Teacher for the 20262027 school year. Multiple openings are available at a variety of grade levels, serving students who need intensive support or supplemental assistance. These contract roles run from August 2026 through June 2027 and are fully onsitelocated in the vibrant coastal community of Hilton Head Island.
Positions available:
- Hilton Head Island Elementary: Intensive Support/Autism Focus
- Hilton Head Island School for the Creative Arts: Supplemental Support
- Hilton Head Island Middle School: Supplemental, with a Hybrid Support Model
- Hilton Head Island High School: Supplemental Support
What youll bring:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher (or eligibility to obtain)
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with a wide range of learning differences, including autism and varying support needs
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction
- Collaborative nature, willing to work closely with faculty, support staff, and families
- Ability to adapt and differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
In this role, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering engaging lessons that accommodate individual learning styles and goals
- Creating, implementing, and regularly updating IEPs
- Monitoring progress and communicating outcomes to stakeholders
- Fostering an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom environment
- Collaborating with general education teachers and related service providers
