Job Description

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credential (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience working with students in grades Pre-K through 12 is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated skill in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong background in teaching math and adapting content for diverse learners
  • Ability to establish rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and flexibility in classroom settings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to each students individual learning goals and IEP requirements
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to co-teach and modify curriculum in inclusive settings
  • Employ a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate various learning styles, particularly in math
  • Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and maintain accurate records of student achievement
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians and staff to ensure student success
  • Assist in developing positive behavior support plans as needed
