With a consistent daily schedule of 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, you will serve as the dedicated instructor for a single school, managing a K-1 split self-contained classroom.
Your expertise will help guide children through vital years of growth, delivering instructional support that fosters academic and social development. Youll have the opportunity to tailor your teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of your students in a focused, nurturing environment.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Current LBS1 certification required
- Previous background as a Special Education Teacher, especially within primary grades
- Ability to design and implement individualized instruction for students with a range of learning needs
- Skilled in classroom management and positive behavior support strategies
- Passion for supporting students in self-contained settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide daily instruction to a split K-1 class in a self-contained setting
- Develop and execute lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and abilities
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress, adapting interventions as needed
- Collaborate effectively with fellow educators, staff, and families to create comprehensive support plans
- Uphold a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
