A supportive middle school in Oak Forest, IL is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join their team for the upcoming school year. This full-time opportunity serves an 8th-grade classroom with a small caseload of approximately 10 students. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students achieve academic success in a collaborative and student-centered environment.
Position Details
- Full-time (32.534 hours per week)
- Full school year
- Single middle school campus
- 8th-grade classroom
- Approximately 10 students
- Blend of resource and self-contained instruction
- Teach Literacy, Math, and Social Studies
- Students attend general education Science classes
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families

Student Population
- Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD)
- Other Health Impairments (OHI), primarily ADHD
Qualifications
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
- Previous special education experience preferred
