This contract position welcomes passionate educators to work full time from September 1 to June 3, providing meaningful instruction and advocacy for a diverse student population. Key Qualifications:
- Holds a valid Wisconsin Special Education license
- Experience or strong interest in teaching students across elementary (ES), middle (MS), high school (HS), and early childhood age groups
- Ability to manage and adapt to cross-categorical caseloads
- Skilled in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit with families and school teams
- Strong organizational abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based instruction to students in cross-categorical special education settings (HS, ES, MS, and early childhood)
- Develop, monitor, and update IEPs tailored to each students unique learning goals and needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and administrators to maximize student progress
- Foster an inclusive classroom culture that encourages participation, achievement, and confidence
- Maintain detailed records and ongoing assessment data to track and communicate student growth
- Engage in professional development and actively contribute to department initiatives
- Serve as an advocate and resource for students and families navigating special education services
