Make a difference as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in an engaging classroom environment for the 2026-27 school year. This in-person role near Northfield, VT, provides an excellent opportunity to collaborate with dedicated professionals and help learners reach their full potential. With a start date of August 28, 2026, and running through June 18, 2027, youll have the unique chance to deliver direct instruction and individualized support within a dynamic school community.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification meeting all state requirements
- Demonstrated experience teaching students with diverse learning needs
- Strong understanding of current best practices in special education
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to delivering services in-person, fostering genuine relationships with students and staff
- Ability to adapt to caseload variations and work flexibly as needs are determined
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in small groups or one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with state and district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and ongoing professional development
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that promotes growth and achievement
This is a contract assignment requiring 37.5 hours weekly, working fully in person. Caseload assignments will be discussed during the interview process, ensuring the best match for both candidate and program needs.

Compensation for this position ranges from $21.00 to $43.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
