A K-12 school in North Charleston, SC is seeking three full-time Special Education Teachers to fill resource and self-contained positions. These are in-person, W-2 contract roles for the current school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in both resource and self-contained classroom settings.
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique learning needs of each student.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
• Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to promote inclusion and accessibility.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and team meetings.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification appropriate for K-12 instructional settings.
• Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs in resource and self-contained environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods based on student needs and educational goals.
