A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to support high school students in an Autism Support Classroom. This contract position is onsite in Norristown, PA, and requires a passionate educator with experience in special education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of high school students with autism
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student growth and development
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License, or emergency certification with relevant experience
- Proven experience working with students on the autism spectrum
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a high school caseload effectively
