Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Hold a current Michigan Special Education Teaching License
  • Emotional Impairment (EI) endorsement preferred
  • Experience working with students who have significant disabilities
  • Able to pass background check and drug screening
  • Authorization to work in the United States required

Role Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement tailored lesson plans to meet students individual learning needs
  • Foster an inclusive and structured classroom environment for academic and personal growth
  • Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring progress toward goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and data-driven instruction
  • Provide behavioral and emotional support, and maintain communication with parents/guardians
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings to enhance student outcomes
