Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student growth in a dynamic school environment near Newton, NJ. This position focuses on Special Education and offers an impactful role working part-time with friendly staff and engaged learners. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, providing a consistent weekday schedule of 27.5 hours per week (MondayFriday, 8:15am to 1:42pm).

In this role, you will:

• Deliver targeted ELA instruction to a 3rd grade student group during one half of the day.
• Provide specialized math instruction to 6th graders during the other half.
• Adapt and modify lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs and IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, other specialists, and families to ensure academic and social-emotional success for students.
• Monitor progress and maintain documentation in compliance with state and district regulations.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) or Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) certification.
• Experience with elementary and/or middle school special education caseloads, with ability to differentiate across subjects.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Comfort with hybrid or online communication, as interviews will be held via Zoom.
