Job Title: Special Education Teacher Multiple Openings (Case Management)
Location: District in the Newport, NH area (SAU 43 region)
Assignment Dates:
- August 2026 June 2027 (26/27 School Year)
Schedule:
- Full-time
- Approximately 32.537.5 hours per week
School Details:
- 23 total openings district-wide
- High school placements for majority of roles
- Potential additional elementary or preschool placement (to be determined)
Position Overview:
A district in the Newport, NH area is seeking 23 Special Education Teachers for the upcoming school year. These roles will include both direct instruction and case management responsibilities across varying grade levels, depending on final placement needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEPs
- Manage student caseloads and serve as case manager
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and related service providers
- Attend and lead IEP meetings
- Support students in academic, behavioral, and functional skill development
Requirements:
- Active Special Education teaching certification/license
- Prior school-based experience required
Additional Details:
- Two of the anticipated roles are at the high school level
- One additional role may be elementary or preschool depending on district needs
- Caseload specifics are still being finalized and will be updated as available
