Job Description

This onsite early childhood teaching opportunity in Wilmington, DE, offers a chance to make a positive impact within a supportive school environment. Serving the early childhood caseload, this contract position runs from February 17, 2026, through June 11, 2026, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours including a 30-minute paid lunch.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering specialized instruction tailored to young learners with diverse needs in an early childhood setting
  • Collaborating with families and educational teams to support individual student goals
  • Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress
  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth

Qualifications:

  • Valid Delaware teaching license
  • Dual licensure preferred: Special Education Teacher license and Early Childhood (EC) Teacher license; candidates holding at least one of these licenses are encouraged to apply
  • Experience working with early childhood special education students
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
