Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a school district near New Orleans, Louisiana. This position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning on August 3, 2026, and concluding on May 27, 2027. You'll play a key role in shaping the educational experience for students with diverse needs, working approximately 35 hours per week (7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). Assignments and caseload details, including age groups, will be determined prior to placement.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education Certification with a Special Education endorsement is required
• Will not consider TA or TAT certifications
• Experience in special education settings preferred
• Ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing, including a district-specific drug screen and fingerprinting process
• Must currently hold Louisiana SPED certification (no pending licensure)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with special needs
• Develop, implement, and assess Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
