Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Delaware Special Education teaching certification required (please submit proof with your application)
  • Experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt to various educational environments and grade levels
  • Passion for facilitating growth and learning among students with diverse needs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with varying exceptionalities throughout the district
  • Develop and implement tailored educational plans in alignment with each students IEP
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to coordinate services and support student success
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to promote academic, social, and behavioral growth
  • Maintain accurate records on student progress and participate in IEP meetings as needed
  • Promote an inclusive, positive, and engaging classroom environment
