With structured hours from 8:25 AM to 3:55 PM, Monday through Friday, youll enjoy a predictable scheduleincluding a 30-minute paid lunchwhile making a significant difference over the course of the school year.
Qualifications:
- Valid Delaware Special Education Teaching License (DE certification required; PDF copy and resume must be attached for consideration)
- Experience or strong interest in supporting elementary-aged students with autism
- Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and evidence-based intervention strategies
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
- Ability to pass $85 CBC fingerprinting (candidate responsible for fee)
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to elementary students in an autism-focused classroom
- Develop and implement IEPs, track progress, and adjust teaching strategies to meet student needs
- Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate records and consistently report on student achievement and classroom dynamics
- Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment for all students
