Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Possession of an active Delaware teaching license is required for application consideration
  • Dual licensure in Special Education and Early Childhood is highly preferred; candidates holding either license are encouraged to apply
  • Experience working with early childhood populations, particularly within special education, is a strong asset
  • Proven ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating inclusive and engaging classroom environments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction to early childhood students in accordance with IEPs and district standards
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and developmental stages
  • Maintain detailed documentation on student progress, goals, and interventions
  • Partner with classroom staff, specialists, and families to optimize student support
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and ongoing professional development
  • Uphold all state, district, and federal guidelines ensuring compliance and best practices
