Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Possession of an active Delaware teaching license is required for application consideration
- Dual licensure in Special Education and Early Childhood is highly preferred; candidates holding either license are encouraged to apply
- Experience working with early childhood populations, particularly within special education, is a strong asset
- Proven ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated commitment to creating inclusive and engaging classroom environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction to early childhood students in accordance with IEPs and district standards
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and developmental stages
- Maintain detailed documentation on student progress, goals, and interventions
- Partner with classroom staff, specialists, and families to optimize student support
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and ongoing professional development
- Uphold all state, district, and federal guidelines ensuring compliance and best practices
