Job Title: Special Education Teacher Autism (Self-Contained)
Location: District in the New Brunswick, NJ area (08901)
Assignment Dates:
- ASAP ESY
Schedule:
- Full-time
- 8:30 AM 3:30 PM
School Details:
- 1 school site
- Pre-K1st grade Autism classrooms
- 68 students per class
Position Overview:
District seeking 2 SPED teachers for self-contained, nonverbal Autism classrooms with strong emphasis on communication, behavior, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in Autism classroom
- Support IEP goals and functional skills
- Collaborate with BCBA, OT, PT, and paras
- Data collection and behavior support
Requirements:
- NJ TOSD certification
- PreK3 certification ONLY (K6 not accepted)
- Autism experience required
Additional Details:
- High-needs, nonverbal population
- 2 paras per classroom
- Strong multidisciplinary support team onsite

Compensation for this position ranges from $20.00 to $45.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
