In this role, youll collaborate with professionals and families to create engaging, individualized learning experiences. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, approximately 8am-3pm, allowing teachers to make a significant impact during the formative preschool years.
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut preschool special education certification
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is highly valued
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to meeting diverse student needs
- Ability to effectively manage and adapt instruction for a varied caseload
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom with both general education and special education students
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessional staff, therapy providers, and administration
- Provide assessment, instruction, and progress monitoring for assigned students
- Communicate regularly with families and maintain thorough documentation
