Key Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Special Education License is required
- Previous experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development, classroom management, and differentiated instruction
- Ability to adapt to multiple classroom settings, including resource, co-teaching, and self-contained
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to student advocacy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with a range of learning needs in accordance with IEP goals
- Modify curriculum and utilize accommodations to support individual learning styles
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes clearly and accurately
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and support staff to implement effective teaching strategies
- Engage with families and guardians to provide updates and encourage involvement
- Maintain an organized, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
