This contract opportunity, located near Nederland, CO and Idaho Springs, focuses on delivering high-quality instruction to students with Autism in an elementary setting. Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Experience working in elementary school environments preferred
- Innovative and adaptable approach to individualized instruction
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the diverse needs of elementary students with Autism
- Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic student progress
- Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor student performance and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation for compliance
- Foster a collaborative and respectful learning atmosphere
