Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Prior experience teaching students with a range of learning, emotional, and physical disabilities
- Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEP)
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, families, and related service providers
- Effective classroom management, adaptability, and creative problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of current educational technologies and differentiation strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging instructional activities tailored to individual student needs
- Develop, review, and monitor IEPs to ensure compliance and student growth
- Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to implement accommodations and modifications
- Track student progress, adjust instruction, and communicate achievements and concerns with caregivers
- Foster a safe, respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation and independence
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as needed
