Desired Qualifications:
- Active and valid Special Education teaching license in New Hampshire
- Experience teaching at the elementary, middle, or high school level
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Adaptability in instructional strategies to address varied learning styles and abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Organizational strengths and the ability to meet compliance deadlines
- Passion for creating inclusive educational spaces and fostering student independence
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver targeted instruction customized to each learners goals
- Develop, update, and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with regular education teachers to deliver co-taught and mainstreamed instruction
- Track and document student progress, ensuring timely communication with families and team members
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and student support initiatives
- Provide a supportive and structured classroom environment that encourages growth
- Advocate for the needs of students while promoting a culture of acceptance and inclusion
