Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their educational journey as a Special Education Teacher for grades K-12. Licensed Special Education Teachers in New Hampshire are needed for a contract position working through the remainder of the current school year, with potential to extend into the 2026/2027 school year. This opportunity is located near Nashua, NH, and offers a rewarding chance to address diverse learning needs in a supportive school environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current New Hampshire Special Education Teacher license required
- Experience teaching and developing education plans for students in grades K-5, 6-8, and/or 9-12
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Previous classroom or resource room teaching experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to students individual education plans (IEPs)
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet the unique academic, social, and behavioral needs of each student
- Assess student progress and update educational goals as needed, maintaining detailed records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to support student growth
