This position focuses on delivering exceptional education to students in 2nd and 5th grade across two nearby school locations, with a manageable caseload and a focus on both direct teaching and case management for approximately 15 students. The role is full-time, spanning from August 2026 through June 2027, with Monday through Friday hours totaling 32-37.5 each week.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experienced in delivering specialized instruction and managing IEPs
- Strong understanding of elementary curriculum and differentiation
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Skilled in maintaining compliance with all state and federal special education regulations
- Effective communicator and advocate for students with diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans for a caseload of 2nd and 5th graders
- Deliver targeted instruction, both in small groups and one-on-one settings, tailored to student needs
- Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and adjust strategies as necessary
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment across two school buildings
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school teams regarding student growth and challenges
- Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation on time
