An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Naperville, IL. This contract position runs throughout the current school year (CSY) and focuses on delivering specialized instructional support to students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning requirements.
- Provide direct instructional services, accommodations, and modifications to support student success.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create a cohesive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school policies and legal requirements.
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12.
- Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities in a K-12 setting.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to design and implement effective instructional strategies.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to student success.
