Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Valid state teaching certification with Special Education endorsement
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and needs
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver effective instruction tailored to students with diverse learning challenges
- Create, revise, and monitor IEPs in partnership with families and educational teams
- Utilize evidence-based interventions, modifying curriculum and strategies as needed
- Track student progress and communicate outcomes to families, support staff, and administrators
- Foster a safe, respectful classroom where every student feels valued
- Collaborate actively with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
