This contract position offers the opportunity to work with learners from early childhood through high school near the scenic Mount Shasta area. You'll utilize your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to engage students in individualized and inclusive education, while collaborating with school teams to ensure every child reaches their academic and personal potential.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with students ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade
• Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs and grade levels, including early childhood, kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school
• Strength in teaching core subjects, with a focus on Math
• Collaborative mindset for working with educators, support staff, and families
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Differentiate lessons and interventions for a variety of grade levels and ability groups
• Monitor and document student progress; communicate findings with parents and staff
• Provide specialized instruction in Math and other core subjects
• Work closely with general education teachers and support personnel to integrate modifications and accommodations
• Participate in IEP meetings, team collaborations, and professional development as required
