A Special Education Teacher is sought for the 2025-2026 school year to support K-12 students in a dynamic school setting. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 2026 and offers opportunities across elementary, middle, and high school caseloads. The role involves working in a self-contained classroom environment supporting students with diverse behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with emotional impairments or autism spectrum disorders
• Manage and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in a self-contained setting
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and support teams to promote students educational and social development
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate variable behaviors and learning styles
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience:

• Certification in Special Education with Emotional Impairments or an Autism endorsement is required
• Experience working with K-12 students in self-contained classrooms preferred
• Ability to manage and support a range of behaviors positively and effectively
• Strong communication and organizational skills
