Key Qualifications:

  • Valid special education teaching credential or equivalent (out-of-state reciprocity accepted)
  • Experience or strong interest teaching across diverse grade levels: Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grades 112, Middle School, and High School
  • Solid understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and instructional modifications
  • Confidence in teaching a range of subjects, especially Math, and adapting curriculum as needed
  • Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Flexibility and organization to manage varied caseloads and responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement personalized lesson plans for students with diverse abilities
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote student growth
  • Monitor progress, assess student needs, and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
  • Conduct IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation
