Job Description

This full-semester contract position offers an engaging opportunity for an experienced Special Education Teacher dedicated to supporting K-12 students across a diverse caseload. Situated onsite in Mooresville, NC, this role is integral to fostering inclusive learning environments and delivering specialized instruction tailored to each student's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with state guidelines
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support students' academic and social development
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as required

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid North Carolina Special Education (SPED) teaching license
  • Submission of official transcripts for verification
  • Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students with special needs
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Location and Schedule:

  • Position based onsite in Mooresville, NC
  • Full-time commitment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract duration: Full academic semester for the 2025-2026 school year
