Job Description

Exciting opportunities are now available for passionate Special Education Teachers ready to make a difference in the lives of elementary students. For the 2026-2027 school year, a dynamic, full-time Elementary CSD Teacher position is open on a contract basis. This role provides the unique chance to work in an inclusive educational environment dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and neurodiverse needs. You will support students at RiseUp, which offers holistic residential, academic, and community programs to enhance independence and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff in a caseload model.
  • Create supportive, adaptable learning environments that foster growth and inclusion.
  • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to a broad range of I/DD and neurodiverse profiles.
  • Provide direct instruction, ongoing assessment, and continuous modifications for student success.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and maintain accurate documentation of student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (Colorado or eligibility to obtain).
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially those with I/DD or neurodiversity.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to fostering independence, confidence, and community participation for all students.
