Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher on a part-time contract basis for the 2026-2027 school year. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and critical support to learners identified with mild to moderate needs. The anticipated schedule and caseload will be confirmed by the district, with resource and/or inclusion services expected as part of this position.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Colorado Special Education License or eligibility to obtain one through reciprocity
  • Prior experience working with elementary-age students is preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in special education compliance, including knowledge of IDEA regulations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and related service providers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction in alignment with students Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
  • Monitor student progress and document achievement toward IEP objectives
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and required special education documentation
  • Work in partnership with school staff, parents, and outside service providers to ensure well-rounded support for each student
  • Participate actively in student evaluations, IEP meetings, and collaborative team discussions
