Two contract special education teaching opportunities are available for the 2026-27 school year: one at the middle school level and one at the elementary level, both requiring in-person instruction. What Were Looking For:
- Current licensure as a Special Education Teacher meeting all State requirements (non-negotiable)
- Experience working with diverse student populations in either elementary or middle school settings
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and adaptive learning environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general educators, specialists, and families
- Passion for encouraging student independence and growth
Your Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualized instruction in alignment with each students IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, track progress, and communicate results to families and colleagues
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and related service staff
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to accommodate unique student needs
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding special education services
- Participate in IEP meetings, student support teams, and ongoing professional development
