This exciting contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 academic year offers the chance to collaborate with a dedicated team and help facilitate a smooth transition for students requiring in-person support.
Key Qualifications:
- Must meet all Vermont state requirements for Special Education Teachers
- Experience with a variety of special education needs and instructional strategies
- Capable of providing engaging, individualized instruction and effective classroom management
- Comfortable working in-person full-time; remote options are not available for this role
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with staff, families, and other professionals
- Adaptable and open to different caseload assignments, which will be discussed during the interview process
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students according to their IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to address students diverse learning needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation
- Engage with parents and caregivers to support student progress and encourage home-school connections
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
