Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Must meet all Vermont state requirements for Special Education Teachers
  • Experience with a variety of special education needs and instructional strategies
  • Capable of providing engaging, individualized instruction and effective classroom management
  • Comfortable working in-person full-time; remote options are not available for this role
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with staff, families, and other professionals
  • Adaptable and open to different caseload assignments, which will be discussed during the interview process

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and support to students according to their IEPs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to address students diverse learning needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to support student progress and encourage home-school connections
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
